Tanya's Picks- Jan 28th

Happy Monday Everyone....We're back for another edition of Tanya's Picks....Get your ears acquainted with tunes you may have never heard before....This is what's in constant rotation on my iPod this week.....LET'S GO!.......

This whole album is proof that good music is timeless.... EWF has never changed their sound to fit the sound of the times....but have somehow always managed to fit in. They're every bit as relevant in 2013, as they were in 1975. This track, featuring Raphael Saddiq is one of my favorites off their 2005 album, "Illumination"

The epitome of "cool." Donald Fagen and Walter Becker were really onto something when they wrote this tune....The groove is so smooth that it's infectious, and unmistakably Steely Dan....This is from their 1977 hit album, "Aja."

Now as you may or may not know, I am pretty much "The Queen of Jackson B-Sides".....many of which were just as good as, or even better than the singles. This is a prime example of that....Off the 1995 Compilation Album, "Soulsation 4."

Up until recently, I had completely forgotten all about this song....and how much I loved it. Then again, I haven't really heard a song from Toto that I didn't like. This is off their 1982 album, "Toto IV."

This is a McCartney track that was only released in the UK. I stumbled across it recently on Beatles Radio, and loved it. It was featured on the UK version of the 1987 compilation album, "All The Best!"

And there you have it! My picks for this week.....Hopefully, you've gotten the chance to open your ears up to something new.....After all, that is the goal.....

Until Next Time......
