Tanya Picks- Feb 18th

Hey, Hey Everyone....Thanks for joining me for another week of "Tanya's Picks." Here is what is in constant rotation on my iPod this week.....

What a great song! jENNiNGS just completely knocks this one out of the park....When I hear this song, I picture like Bonnie and Clyde on their escapades after robbing a bank or something...lol...But seriously, I like songs that are able to paint a picture for the listener, and this certainly fits the bill...This is from her 2007 CD, "Femtastic."

Ok, so don't fault me for this one. The clothes in this video are bad, the hair in this video is "terrrible".....But after all it was the 80's....in England.....That's already two strikes against...This performance is from "Top of the Pops," which was basically the English version of "Solid Gold." Who here is old enough to remember "Solid Gold?" But I digress.....

I'm sorry, but this doesn't sound like 1982 to me....If I had to guess by sheer sound, I would have figured late 80's, early 90's at best...Maybe this song was just ahead of it's time...This is from Missing Persons' 1982 album, "Spring Session M."

Why I like this song, is really beyond me....It is a strange little tune, but is elaborate enough to make me know that I don't want to go to Bangkok...It doesn't sound like a very nice place to go, especially after hours....This is from his 1984 concept album, "Chess."

This is a lost and forgotten track from New Edition....Yes,  the video is low- budget...looking more like it was recorded on a sound-stage in New Jersey somewhere, rather than a video from a major-label act. This is from their 1985 album, "All For Love."
