New Music Tuesday- Mr Probz
Ok, so this song speaks to the hopeless romantic in me. Damn, sappy love songs….making me feel stuff. But true to my word, that’s what a good song is supposed to make you do….feel something. In an age where I had otherwise thought that actual songwriting had been completely disregarded- Dutch R&B/Hip-Hop artist, Mr Probz causes me to believe differently. I mean, I could be wrong, but when’s the last time you heard a really good song that made you believe in true love? I’ll wait…….. Most of today’s music is centered around the concept of sex……partying…… and more sex. I’m starting to sense a theme here, hmmnnn….
Don’t get me wrong, the concept of “Love” is one that has been stated throughout the ages, time and time again; but how one interprets it, is what truly makes all the difference. That’s why I can appreciate a great lyric like, “Swimming through the stars when I see her, and I don’t need air, because I breathe her.” Thank you Mr Probz for proving that there are still great songwriters out there….Check out the song below, and let me know what you think by sounding off in the comments!
